The Friday Five - Christmas Edition

Holy Guacamole Christmas is NEXT WEEKEND! This excites me and stresses me at pretty much identical rates. I am not organised, in anyway...I have wrapping paper... but nothing to wrap... can you give wrapping paper to people? No? Didn't think so...

I thought because we only have two Fridays left until Christmas, I am going to make these ones all festive and Christmasy! If you are a Grinch and this doesn't interest you, please kindly close the virtual door behind you, this isn't for you.

So lets do this. Here are Five lists of my five favourite things about Christmas.

Amy's Top Five Christmas Movies:

  1. The National Lampoons Christmas (BEST)
  2. Elf
  3. Home Alone (has to be an equal between 1 and 2)
  4. The Santa Claus
  5. Miracle of 34th Street (The one with the girl from Matilda and the guy for The Practise).
(Oh shit and Love Actually... and The Polar Express....this is too hard...)

Amy's Top Five Christmas songs:
  1. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (The Michael Buble version)
  2. Christmas (baby please come home) - Anyone, but Michael Buble DOES do it well...
  3. Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin Stevens
  4. All I want for Christmas is You - Marian Carey
  5. Happy Christmas (War is Over) - I have just recently heard the Maroon 5 cover and it's amazing!

Amy's Top 5 Christmas Foods:
This one will be difficult...
  1. Turkey (Couldn't eat my weight in it and WILL!)
  2. Shortbread
  3. Gingerbread
  4. Apple Pie
  5. Christmas ham
Amy's Top Five Christmasy to do:
  1. Watch Carols by Candlelight
  2. Go to streets where the houses are decorated HARDCORE for Christmas
  3. Play Christmas carols really loud in the car...from November...
  4. Christmas baking for your loved ones.
  5. Watch Jamie Oliver's Christmas cooking shows!

Amy's Top Five Christmas books:
  1. The night before Christmas (classic!)
  2. 2. The Jolly Postman's Christmas (super cute Christmas present for kids if you are on the hunt)/
  3. The Grinch who stole Christmas
  4. The Polar Express (yep it's a real live book too!)
  5. A Wish to be a Christmas tree.

That was a very difficult task. I could list things that I love about Christmas for hours... but alas... you would be bored out of your mind and my my fingers might fall off... So I'll save the both of us.
Please let me know you top 5 of any of those lists, you can find me on Twitter and those other social media places where the cool kids hang out!
