Kylie Jenners Lipkit - Are they worth it?

Incase you have been abducted by aliens and have left our fine and mentally unstable planet for the past couple of years, The Kardashians are kind of a big deal. Also I hope the whole alien thing wasn't too challenging emotionally... I, myself, have a slightly borderline obsession with them ever since I started watching 'Keeping up the Kardashians' when I was pregnant...and now...I watch it more now OK!! Ok!!! It's like an illness!!!

Anyway Kylie Jenner (the youngest one) has come out with a Kylie Cosmetics line which everyone is going cray cray over. Her most popular product is the 'Lipkit'. My Instagram is basically smashed on the daily by photos of all the Lipkit varieties, swatches, big juicy lips modelling them in a "IwishmylipswereaslusciousasKylieJennersmaybeonedayifIwishhardenough" kinda way... *Side note - I also want Kylie Jenners lips, so did she apparently hence why she bought them. So lesson is: money can buy you anything, except fashion sense and Santa Claus*.

So I caved and I now am the proud owner of some Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits. They have pros and they have cons and I thought for those of you who are interested, humming and hahhing about whether or not to buy one, or two, or 12, have a little read:

Pro: The colours
For me, the major thing that stands out about all her products, mainly the lip kits, are the colours. I kind of judged too early and half expected them to be really...lame...that's pretty much the best way to describe it. You know when celebrities do perfumes or make-up lines, they are always nothing special...abit meh? Well I was wrong, the colours are amazing. Really classy, beautiful tones and an awesome range to suit all kinds of looks. I am a massive 'nude' fan, I don't often go for a bold lip colour, so I was really excited to see all the different nude variations she had created. By favourites so far being 'Mailboo' (kind of a beige nude) and 'Candy K' (more of  darker, almost maroon toned nude). There are many more I want, but I think if you are after a specific colour, definitely check these out because there is so much to look at.

Con: Everyone in the world wants one.
Obviously Kylie Jenner is pretty popular and it goes without saying that these products would be well sought after, but seriously, if you don't get in literally as soon as she says "they are available", you're too late. There was a birthday bundle that had a rose gold creme shadow I wanted, I couldn't even spit that sentence out and it was gone! So you NEED to be quick and also it goes on American times, so set that alarm for an ungodly hour of the morning to get in when they are first on sale.

Pro: It doesn't come off.
If you put the lip kit on first thing in the morning, I promise you it will still be fresh as a daisy by the afternoon. This stuff stays on like super glue! Plus it doesn't go all weird and patchy like a lot of lipsticks, which makes you look like something out of 'The Walking Dead'.

Con: It doesn't come off.
Remember how I said it doesn't come literally doesn't. So that's good when you need it, but when it comes time to wash your face, grab your bloody brilo pad and scrape away (please don't do that). You will need some really good make-up remover to get rid of this bad boy.

Pro: The price.
I was honestly expecting all the products to cost a bomb and was so pleasantly surprised to see that they are actually reasonably priced. Granted they are in US dollars on the site, so will be slightly more expensive for us in Australia, you do get a lot for your money. The lip kit includes a lip liner AND the lipstick. You don't often get that combo together, let alone one of those items for less that $40. Plus I personally think it's worth the price, also knowing what I know now about how well the product looks and lasts, I would spend more if I had to...I don't want don't like raise your prices on me...just saying...

So to conclude...I like them. Maybe even love them. She just released new colours, which I really want...and her Kyliner...and her Kyshadow...bahhh my wallet hurts!

Let me know on Insta, Facey or Tweetland if you guys have any more pros, cons or thoughts about any of the products as I'd love to hear what you think.

I'm now going to go watch 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' because my baby is asleep and the thought of cleaning my kitchen for 36th time today does not appeal to me...
